CAR WASH INSTAGRAM REFRESH
What better way to remember a summer-long fling (a summer internship) with an advertising agency (Drake Cooper) than a total refresh of a clientβs Instagram feed? Weβre talking a consistent color palette, killer imagery, and fun Idaho-centered graphics. Out with the old, in with the new.

Take a good look at the current Instagram feed. Notice anything? I do. Thereβs a lack of cohesion across the design style, a lack of a consistent color palette that aligns with the brand and the website, and the horizontal rectangle posts are getting cut off. All this makes for an unaesthetic feed. And in this day and age where aesthetic Instagram feeds are everything, something needs to change.
Ok now weβre talking. Here weβre seeing some cohesion and a defined brand personality. Itβs risque, itβs playful, colorful, friendly, pretty much everything you could ask for in a car washβs Instagram feed.
What better way to catch a customerβs attention than a big in-your-face βYOU TURN ME ONβ? These fun posts are to be used in the feed to add a bit more βpizzazβ to the narrative of the Instagram feed. Yeah, this car wash has your typical announcement posts and hour change posts, but look what it also has? βHot, Steamy, Quickβ.
Hereβs a closer look at what weβve got going on. A beautiful gradient post highlighting everyoneβs favorite word, FREE, along with the car washes free amenities offered, a subtle Idaho callout with the announcement posts, and a unique wave design used to create a fun easter egg on the feed as three waves line up. Unity in variety. Oh, and of course everything has matching story posts. Wouldnβt want those stories to feel left out.
Oh it just keeps getting better, now thereβs a doβs and donβts guide. Perfect for clients who want to have good design but also take control of their own posts so they can do it themselves. All while keeping consistent with the beautiful refreshed feed.

The above project was a proposed option for the Epic Shine Car Wash Instagram feed. Everything here was created during the 2024 Backstage Pass Internship at Drake Cooper. Finn was given the opportunity to spearhead the design of the Instagram posts while the other interns worked on filming Reels for the feed.
